If you have been affected
Road traffic collisions have often been likened to dropping a stone into a pond – the ripple effect from an incident has wide-reaching consequences and deeply affects those involved, often for many years or a whole lifetime.
From the witnesses to the vehicle occupants or pedestrians, the emergency services, health workers, crash investigators, family liaison officers, rehabilitation units, carers – the trauma is relentless.
And then there are the family and friends who have to live every day with the fact that a loved one has been unnecessarily taken away or had their life changed by injury.
It is not a sign of weakness to admit that you have been affected by trauma. There is support out there for people suffering and here are some links that may be useful:
