After

If you have been to a ‘Licence to Kill?’ performance in 2014 you will have received a handout with advice about mobile phones, seat belts, alcohol, drugs, speeding and speaking up if you feel unsafe.

In the boxes below we have expanded on this advice.  Please read it, share it, and tell us that you’ll put it into practice.

Road Safety professionals refer to the ‘Big 4’ and these are the main things that influence the chances of a road traffic crash and the severity of injuries in a collision:
  1. Alcohol or drugs – including the ‘morning after’
  2. Mobile phones – looking at or using for texting, talking, internet – you are as impaired as at the drink drive limit
  3. Speeding – speed limits are limits not targets, drive to the conditions of the road
  4. Wearing a seat belt – significantly reduces the severity of injuries
